Pretend you’re driving along a racetrack in a Pagani Huayra

Chances are the closest you’ll get to a Pagani Huayra is with a scale model, a video game or an auto show. Unless you’re really lucky, you probably won’t get to sit in one, and unless you’re really, really lucky, you probably won’t get to drive one.

That’s where YouTube user Marchettino comes into play. If you’ve never heard of him, he’s a twenty-something from Italy who has access to some incredible cars, which he features to no end in his videos. In his latest, Marchettino managed to strap a camera to the head of Davide Testi, Pagani’s chief test driver, as he takes a Huayra around a racetrack in Modena.

As if there aren’t enough reasons to fall in love with the Pagani Huayra, the sounds its 6.0-litre, 700-horsepower V12 engine makes is the icing on the cake. It’s almost impossible to describe the hiss of its turbochargers spooling up, underscored by its oddly subdued rumble of its exhaust. It almost sounds like a rattlesnake each time Testi lifts off the throttle.

No, that doesn’t really work, so you’ll have to watch the video below. And when you’re done, check out our review of the Pagani Huayra.
