Mystery Monday: Can you identify this tiny sports car?

The identity of last week’s mystery car behind glass remained elusive to even our most astute readers.

The car in question was a 1965 Toyota 700 Publica and it’s worth noting that our managing editor, Derek McNaughton, and freelance writer Brendan McAleer were able to correctly identify the car from the picture.

What we have this week is a deteriorating sports car parked outside a central Toronto repair shop. This week’s car is also small and seemingly from the 1960s, but what is it?

We can just make out a peek of a round tail light and it has a unique centre mounted fuel filler. It’s definitely curvy, but is the shape American, Italian or Japanese? Any guesses? Let us know in the comments below.
