The new FIA World Rallycross Championship came to Lydden Hill for the first time yesterday, and captivated a sell-out crowd

A world away from the glamorous streets on Monaco yesterday, the FIA’s latest world championship was busy creating quite a stir in the Kent countryside.

Lydden Hill was the venue for round two of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The championship is an upgrade of the previous European Rallycross Championship. It’s been given full world championship status by the FIA with new rounds further afield, big name manufacturer and driver interest, and a huge marketing and promotional push.
