Peugeot Exalt saloon concept revealed

Peugeot Exalt concept leaked

Pictures of the Peugeot Exalt leaked ahead of its premiere at the Beijing motor show

The Peugeot Exalt saloon concept has been given an early debut ahead of official public launch at the Beijing motor show next week.

The sleek four-door model is a follow-up to the acclaimed Onyx concept from the 2012 Paris motor show. It is powered by a hybrid drivetrain and constructed from what the French firm describes as “original materials”.

Peugeot accidentally sent a sole image of the car and a brief description of it to French media yesterday. The image shows the “crude steel and ‘Shark Skin’” textile body of the four-seater concept; similarly innovative materials, including copper, were used for the mid-engined Onyx concept.

The company has previously said that the use of natural materials, and the minimalistic design of the Onyx concept, will become a design hallmark for its future models.
