Muscle Tee(ased): 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger Play Peek-a-Boo [2014 New York Auto Show]

2015 Dodge Charger

If you like your muscle sedans and plus-size pony cars served fresh and hot, you might want to turn your attention toward the upcoming 2014 New York auto show. Dodge will unveil its refreshed-for-2015 Charger sedan and Challenger coupe there, and the automaker made the announcement using—what else?—a pair of “teaser” photos. If you like your teaser photos closely cropped and . . . okay, we’ll stop, but the photos do give us some clues to what Dodge has up its sleeve for its big rear-drivers.

First up, the 2015 Dodge Charger: It appears the sedan’s angry scowl face will return, but it has been massaged for a more cohesive look. The wraparound headlights also bring the Charger’s style in line with other Dodge products like the Journey, as does a grille that recalls the Dart‘s maw. Plus, Dodge promises the rest of it will be just as comprehensively made-over—”nearly” every body panel will be new.

As for the Challenger, we know it will get a neat-looking new gauge cluster, Dodge’s nifty Scat Pack factory performance kits will be a part of the deal, and there will be a “new powertrain combination.”
