Sedan: 2014 Buick Regal

Compact sport sedan with upgraded turbo power; improved exterior design and available all-wheel-drive

You might think Buick’s heritage extends only to plush and comfortable luxo-mobiles, but the company has a history of building factory hot rods: the 442, for instance, or the Grand National. You can find some of that sporting DNA in the Regal, now with much more power for the turbo models – up by 18%. An all-new all-wheel-drive system helps get all that extra power to the ground, and new front and rear design give the car a sportier look. Inside, the Regal’s just as comfortable as its larger cousins, with next-generation infotainment and a simpler layout for the centre-stack controls. New driver-safety improvements include lane departure warning and forward collision warning, and there’s adaptive cruise control on offer as well.
