Sedan: 2014 Infiniti Q70

Full-sized luxury sedan with available V8 power and gutsy hybrid powertrain; many safety technologies and intelligent cruise

Falling into line with the rest of Infiniti’s renaming structure, the Q70 might just be the best definition of “Q-ship” in the lineup. The hybrid badges might have you expecting a fuel-sipping luxury limo – and it is – but walk on the gas and be prepared to be surprised by the tremendous off-the-line acceleration. Those wanting even more thrust can opt for the V8 model, which sounds great, and both rear and all-wheel-drive models of V6 and V8 are available with the sporty S packages. Inside, the former M-sedan gets luxury appointments like Japanese Ash-wood trim, and there’s a host of safety features from blind spot intervention to forward collision warning.
