Coupe: 2014 Nissan 370Z

Legendary coupe and convertible with clever rev-matching standard transmission or quick-shifting seven-speed automatic

Refreshed last year, Nissan’s Z car is the analog counterpart to the mighty GTRs digital road domination. A classic layout, the front-engined, rear-wheel-drive Z has a very short wheelbase and that lusty 3.7L V6 loves to charge hard for the redline. Spec the coupe for maximum track performance, including the optional NISMO package, or lower the top on the roadster and bathe your ears in that glorious V6 soundtrack. The paddle-shifted seven-speed automatic is no slouch, but equally clever is Nissan’s SynchroRev system, capable of matching every downshift with a perfectly timed blip of the throttle.
