Sedan: 2014 Nissan Sentra

Class-leading trunk space and excellent fuel economy; improvements to suspension tuning, feature loadout

One of the leading causes of poor fuel consumption isn’t a too-large engine or failure of the transmission to shift correctly: It’s underinflated tires. With the Sentra’s standard tire pressure monitoring system and available Easy Fill Alert, you don’t have an excuse any more – this latter devices blinks the lights at you once you’ve filled to the correct pressure. Properly set up, the Sentra’s thrifty 1.8L engine and continuously variable transmission make the most of every litre. 2014 sees slight tuning improvements for both the CVT and the suspension, there’s a few extra cubby holes, and trunk space remains impressive.
