Sedan: 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Rear-drive based coupe and sedan with range of engines from efficiency-based four-cylinder to colossal V8 power

In this final year for the current-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class, new value-enhancing packages bump up the feature content across the range. Dubbed Avantgarde, the package includes auto-dimming mirrors, a power moonroof, AMG styling, sport suspension, heated front seats, and LED running lights. Flexibility remains the watchword of the C-Class, which can be had in a range of trims including an efficient 201-horsepower turbo four-cylinder, a smooth, all-weather-capable V6 with all-wheel-drive, and the ludicrous AMG models. While other Mercedes’ high-performance offerings move towards turbocharging, the AMG C-Classes keeps its 6.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8, an incredibly characterful engine with a snorting soundtrack.
