SUV: 2014 Range Rover Evoque

Sleek, upscale crossover with urban-friendly proportions and two or four door layout; new nine-speed transmission offers even better economy

It’s official, it’s now possible to buy a crossover that’s got more gears than your bicycle. The new nine-speed transmission in the Evoque gives Range Rover’s small city-slicker even better fuel economy and reduced emissions, while also improving performance. 2014 also sees a few tweaks to the Evoque’s styling, though the little truck remains as gorgeous as ever, still capable of drawing a crowd. If the snow starts flying, you’ll find that beneath the supermodel looks there’s an entirely capable outdoorsy type, perfectly suited to taking on slippery conditions and even the logging trail out to your remote ski cabin.
