Noted car nut and talk show host Jay Leno recently got to take the Ford Focus ST performance hatchback out for a spin. His verdict? “It’s a nice car.”
While he may seem a little underwhelmed by Ford’s hot hatch, remember Leno is probably more used to testing high-powered Lamborghinis and Aston Martins than daily-driver family cars.
Still, he had a lot of good things to say about the Focus ST. He was especially impressed by the small car’s 247 km/h (154 mph) top speed and the 2.0-litre turbocharged, 252-horsepower engine. And he lauded Ford for sticking with the stick by offering the ST in only manual transmission.
